Re-energizing the mid-week hump

(Image found on yahoo)

On your mark . . . Get set . . . Go . . .

What is one more rough day after a week of them?

My morning started with transportation not arriving to pick up Newton for school.  So . . . off we went.

I get to the end of my driveway . . .

Really ?? !!

Check my tire pressure?? !!

I just had this done . . .

I went to my neighborhood service guys after dropping Newton off at school, checking in with Honey Do, cancelling/rescheduling mom. Temperatures has dropped into the 30s from the 70s and this can affect your tire pressure. I already guessed that, but it was nice to have it confirmed.
10 minutes, $0.00 and I'm good to go :) I love those guys :)

Next stop, the library.  I'm having withdrawals :)

I found some new ideas for next year and created a tab that says just that.

New books to listen to - All are Christmas themed.

Back home, I got busy with my laundry and my projects . . .

First up, Quilter's Garden

I did two of these - one to keep, one to swap. All that's left to do is the hand-stitching.

Next, doggie toys :)

Freebie Alert !!!

Here's a link to a free download for sorting, storing and using all your scraps.

One the weather front . . .

This is how our day started . . .

Snow started accumulating about 5 p.m.

By 9, we had an inch to an inch and a half on the ground. The flurries are heavy enough that you can barely see across the street.

Thanks for stopping by,

Wishing you a creative day.

  1. Ugh, it's too early for that white stuff! I saw about 7 flurries on Thursday, and was happy that was all. I've been getting up early to go get Paul and take him to work - early like 4 am! It's just too cold for him to ride his bike. Two weeks and a new job starts, and I shouldn't have to worry!

I love your iron block - darlingly cute. I will have to make mine this week. I'm not framing the ones I'm keeping - they'll be too big for my quilt if I do. It sounds like you've had an interesting week!
