My day usually starts by getting Honey Do and Newton off to work and school, then within the hour BFF and I have our first phone call. That didn't happen today. She had a medical procedure first thing this morning. The general consensus (hers) was that she would be fine and there was no point in any of us just sitting around and waiting for her to be done. "Drop me off and I'll call when I get home". I agreed and even tried taking some pressure off by telling her to call me when she felt like it, her husband didn't need to unless something went wrong.
She did not have a pleasant morning. One technician left her in excruciating pain for 20 minutes to get the doctor!!! These are women working with other women - how can you do that to someone? I was horrified. BFF is home, resting as comfortably as she can. Thank God for taking care of her and getting her home.
Not having my encourager readily available to me meant that I didn't push myself as much as I should have. I did the basics of my usual Monday routine, but it's just not the same. I managed to get some weeding done and even some stitchery. I did a little reorganizing in the linen closet and picked some things up from the stairs. Got out my seasonal flags to put on the house. Finished putting together a puzzle Newton and I started yesterday evening.
Something arrived in my mailbox on Saturday . . .
From Australia . . .
Ms. Fee sent my order. I've been waiting patiently. Oh it was so hard.
Look at all this loveliness . . .
Not sure where it will be used - but HAD to HAVE it :)
If you haven't been to Fee's shop, stop by and browse here. Sign up for her emails, and you'll get to see her daily deals. You won't be sorry.
Life is rough in the big city !
Taz can't wait until Newton leaves for school - guess where he spends the majority of his day . . .
One special project for today
Honey Do's favorite
chocolate chip cookies
:)
Thanks for stopping by . . .
(image downloaded from Pinterest - need to make one of these in every color for the different seasons).
Wishing you a crafty Tuesday.

Thank you so much for linking to Tuesday Treasures today
You are most welcome. I love your blog. You offer something fun, short, sweet (unlike my own wordiness) and you always give us something free to check out. I enjoy many of the same blogs you do. Looking forward to blogging together.
I'm so sorry your best friend and encourager had a bad day. I hope she is feeling great soon, and things are back to normal. I lost mine this summer, and am so happy yours had only a "little" procedure. =)
