Where did this week go?

Friday morning dawned damp, from rain Thursday night and dew. I started working on my UFO at 7:30 a.m.
It's been such a productive week because the only time I left the house was with Honey Do. It has been so nice to just be able to stay home. There has been no pressure for meals or any demands to run out and get something. No errands to run because I made sure everything was done last week.

My goals for Friday:

1.  Finish UFO

2. Cut out at least one quilt from the library book

The morning was pleasant and productive. Work progressed on the UFO, household chores and laundry and that bucket of carrots were done. I bagged up some of the carrots to share with the mailman who has been a friend for a number of years.

We had lunch at our favorite Japanese buffet. I talked Honey Do into going to the grocery store with me before we headed home again.

I spent the afternoon working on my UFO and it was finished before we went to bed.

I did most of the work on the sewing machine. I tried my hand at machine applique. It will definitely take practice. This isn't perfect but I can live with it.
I also did the quilting on the machine - again, needing more practice to make it look really good.
The only hand-stitching I did was the binding.
I'm mostly happy with the end result.

I didn't get to my second goal. I'll work on it on Saturday.

Thanks for stopping by,

Wishing you a day filled with countless blessings.

Love your finish. That binding is perfect for it! What a lovely day that sounds. I hope Saturday was the same, and tomorrow, too. A holiday, so the not-so-little one is home. Maybe you have a family day or picnic planned instead. I hope it's a great day, whatever the plan is.

I love days where I can catch up on sewing - they've been few and far between this summer! I LOVE your UFO, the checkerboard in the middle is so perfect!!
