Impatiently ! ! !
My car is "dressed".
This was a very practical Christmas gift from my father in law.
The snow is supposed to start arriving about noon. As of 10:30 this morning, there hasn't even been one snow flake !!!! I was hoping to wake up to more than we have. I should have watched the news !
I spent Friday running errands and prepping for a weekend home, but I can't sit around and just wait all day for the snow to arrive.
That frees me up to play in the sewing room.
And play we did.
And play we did.
I drew off another little bookmark. I'll keep making them to add to the gift box as I think of people to gift or color combinations that come up. They would make a great addition to a card to say "just thinking of you". :)
Rocky helped me with another dog bed.
And Sugar claimed the third one. She's sharing the first one, like a good girl.
I prepped a new block of the month that I'm doing with a local friend. I signed up for it back in October, I think. I was starting to regret the decision when it arrived in the mail. I LOVE it !!! I did more coloring than suggested and that might be why. Or I just love this whole scene.
When I wasn't in the sewing room, or doing laundry, or dishes, or taking the dogs out, I was watching the snow.
This was what it looked like by noon. The snow officially arrived around 10:30 a.m.
This was later in the afternoon. The plows were doing a really good job keeping up with it. It doesn't look all that bad. The forecast was for two fronts. The first one coming from the west coast and bring 12-24 inches. The next one was coming Sunday from the lake and bring another three or so inches. Lake effect doesn't always adversely affect us because of where we are in relation to the lake. If the winds blow just right meaning from the north and directly south, we'll get slammed. But the winds are usually offset coming from the north/northwest, so we end up not getting much. In these conditions, we are always told if you don't have to go out, don't.
My evening was spent watching Netflix movies, watching the snow and stitching another bookmark.
‘Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.

I'm wondering if you were happy with the amount of snow you got? To me, the snow is such a lovely sight but we never get it so it would be a real novelty. It's just as well you have some good indoor hobbies to do when it's like that! Those little bookmarks (next post) are very cute, and the coloured-in block is lovely.
Ah, that is a nice series of snow pictures - as long as I'm over here in the rain, just looking on! LOL I love the bathtub scene. I'd love that bathtub, come to think of it. I'd like to find one for Regan to put in the house he builds.
