Starting out productive

As a new week begins, I'm starting out productive. I spent all morning and half the afternoon cleaning house and doing laundry. The floors are swept and washed, kitchen counter decluttered, laundry washed, dried and put away. I still have more laundry to do tomorrow because I didn't get it finished, but what was started today was finished today. It is a very good feeling to go into the week with a clean house.

I also managed to make my goal for the number of steps I'm taking per day and I drank my water quota. The step calculator is an app on my cell phone that I started using at the end of last week.

These are not my statistics, I found this on the internet, but it's the same app. I'm still playing with it, so I haven't gotten as far as calorie counting or anything like that.
My daily step goal is 6,000 and I managed 7,000 plus as of this posting. I know all the cleaning and going up and down the stairs helps.

Mid afternoon turned a little more relaxing.

We went for a run in the backyard. Nina and Taz get pretty rough, so 13 week old Rocky doesn't really get to play much with them in the yard. He gets a good run in from the house to the about half way through the yard. It's hysterical to watch him run with all he can muster.

We took our first "selfies" this afternoon. He doesn't look very impressed, does he?

My weeping willow is distressed. The yellow you see on the ground near the tree is actually all the leaves that have been lost. You can't see it in this picture, but it looked like it was snowing leaves. We have had an extremely dry summer. Can you tell the wind is blowing?

We are anticipating thunder storms . . .

We got them!

This storm had a wonderful end.

I did manage to get a little more work done on my spring row.

It doesn't look like much in a pile, but I'm on the final steps.
This row has three different elements - a paper pieced butterfly, a pieced flower and a Sunbonnet Sue. And times them all by three :)
The paper piecing had its frustrating moments, but they are done and ready for the last step. I'm getting so close to finishing this row. But I'm just too tired tonight. Cutting out the pieces was all I could get accomplished.
I'll sew tomorrow :)

Thanks for stopping by,

Wishing you a day filled with creativity.

If you don't watch it, you're going to get REALLY good at paper piecing. =) I love the selfie of Rocky. It looks like he's wearing an eye shade. You are getting a lot done. Congratulations on getting so much exercise. That's the hardest part without dedicated time. Sounds like you are doing a lot of stitching in between other things. Yay!
