HQAL - 15 Minute Challenge - Stash report

Can you tell there is a lot going on in my world???

First up, Hand Quilt A-Long (HQAL).

I was encouraged to join this group of lovely ladies as we share and encourage each other in our journey to stitch and finish projects. Not surprisingly, there are some really talented people that I have the privilege of being in their company.

So what did I hand quilt? Fortunately, the rules aren't hard and fast and applique is included.  I have been trying to finish the four ornaments sponsored by ThermoWeb.  add link I finally finished block three and have begun block four.

I'm hoping to have the entire project finished by the end of the week.

I hope you can visit Kathy's blog and see what the other ladies have accomplished.

Next, the 15 minute challenge

I LOVE THIS

I think anything that encourages you to do what you love is a good thing.

This challenges you to spend at least 15 minutes per day stitching, sewing, quilting, etc. Doing whatever you love for a minimum of 15 minutes. That doesn't sound hard. It's not a lot of time, but it's amazing how quickly your day gets away from you. There are no hard, fast rules for tracking your time. I know I managed to get in at least 15 minutes on my projects everyday.

Last, but not least, my stash report. I'm hoping this will curb some of my spending!!! Haha.

Existing stash - enormous!!!

New in: 1 yard for Mystery QAL (deadline is March, 2018)

Stash out: 1 yard (Jar toppers wall hanging) from "enormous" stash. And since I didn't inventory this with actually numbers, it is what it is :)

 Net: +1.00 yard

All in all, a very productive week which includes one finish :)

Thanks for stopping by,

Wishing you kindness from everyone you meet.

Verse of the day:

For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.

These Christmas blocks are just beautiful! I am so glad you joined the HQAL, you are another applique inspiration. I'll enjoy watching this quilt develop. :)

Beautiful Christmas blocks!! I am looking forward to seeing what you do with them. When you use a fusible, do you combine it with needle-turn or do you use a blanket stitch to finish it? I only do fusible applique but I use my sewing machine to sew a blanket stitch around it.

I really like the red bell. It is so pretty with the fabrics you chose. I did a 15-minute challenge for a month last summer, and it really was amazing what could be accomplished in that time. I once hand-quilted an entire queen sized quilt by getting up 15 minutes early and quilting before getting ready for school. =)
I wouldn't worry about that yard, it'll be used up in no time! And take some of your stash with it!
