Lion or Lamb

As I was thinking about this post, I looked up images from Yahoo. I found this one. I'd never seen one like this before and just love the compilation.

I also found this one. It made me think of my heritage and my faith.
My heritage is as a child of God, it is of saving grace and faith in an all knowing, all powerful God of the universe. It is of a future in Heaven through the saving grace of Jesus Christ . . . the Lion of Judah and the sacrificial lamb, who suffered, died and went to Heaven to secure my future.

And with all the rain Wednesday morning, turning over to snow, my thoughts and reflections are of the most holy time of the year as we prepare to remember and be thankful for the huge sacrifice that was made on our behalf as we look forward to Resurrection Sunday.

And as I reflect, I'm sewing :)
You knew it was there somewhere.

I didn't post my progress on the Mystery QAL, because the only thing I have done on this project so far is cutting out the pieces.

Mom is taken care of, GREAT !!!! doctor visit on Wednesday and now we wait and prepare for surgery.

This has freed me up for a few days and given me time to sew. And since everything is prepared, I should be able to make quick work of this project.

So here's how it went . . .

Many of my BOM patterns have been published, so I spent 30 minutes !!!! downloading and saving so they can be printed. First step in preparation for sewing :)

And finally, Mystery QAL . . .

First block done !!!

Unfortunately, I started making mistakes on block two, so I stopped and will pick up again on Friday.

Verse of the Day

Put on the full armour of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.
Ephesians 6:11 NIVUK

Sewing is a fabulous time for reflection, isn't it? I LOVE your block! That is so beautiful, I don't even have words for it. The colors you chose to go with the required fabric are perfect. I can hardly wait to see the revamped second block. =)
