It's that time again to report on our handwork and to see what everyone else in the group has accomplished, you can check them out here. There are new members, so new things to ooh and aah over :)
As for me . . .
The last two blocks of Betsy's Closet.
Scheduled to be finished in 2020.
Five sets of Jenny's "Tidings" that I am planning to use as gifts.
Enough "Advent" blocks to make a quilt top.
You can find the details for them here on Susan's blog. (Link)
I pulled the center panel from my stash. I'm gifting this one to my husband who is a veteran of the army during the first gulf war.
The quilt is sandwiched and pin basted. I'm home for the next two weeks, so I'm hoping to get it quilted and bound before the new year.
I made two pairs of pajamas for Newton for Christmas.
The first pair ended up an oops, so he's getting a bonus second pair. Why waste the fabric and he'll get a chuckle every time he wears them. Mom is only human, after all.
This is the last HQAL for the year. I hope you have been inspired to do some hand work through all the lovely projects our group has done this year. There are so many amazing, talented people.
Thank you for stopping by,
Wishing you a Merry Christmas
And Happy New Year!!
In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

All your projects are wonderful.Your hand work is so lovely. I especially love the quilt you are doing for your husband. Our veterans are so special to us all! I took a look at some of your other posts and enjoyed seeing and reading everything too. Merry Christmas and see you next posting :) Sharon
Well, now you have me wondering what the "oops" is??!! Your husband will love his quilt! I have followed Jenny for years, even though I don't do hand work...it is fun to see someone I "know" use her patterns! Have a Merry Christmas!!
Love Betsy's Closet, Tidings, and your Advent quilt! you have been busy!
Merry Christmas!
The oops doesn't appear in the pictures, so either it didn't make a big impact, or you hid it well. =) Love the Katie's Closet blocks. I didn't realize that's when Honey Do was in the army. Regan was in that one, too, only in the Navy. In fact, he was discharged from over there, though they did give him a ride home, thankfully! Otherwise, he'd probably be living in Germany! You did some great work this three weeks - thanks for the shout out about the challenge. =) I have to jump on the layout for mine this week!
Those good tidings block are beautiful! Your embroidery is wonderful.😍
