Do you like Mondays?
I LOVE Mondays :)
I know, sounds crazy, doesn't it? But I really do, for some very simple reasons:
1. It's my "back to routine" day - Newton goes to school; Honey Do goes to work. Not that I don't love my family, but I love my routine too.
2. It's the first day of the week that we "labor". Sunday, we rest or at the very least, do as little as possible. Monday, I dust and vacuum, I catch up the laundry, I generally clean and do whatever needs to be done and wasn't done on Friday. I try to take Saturdays off too - to review my Sunday School lesson, do any errant laundry, plan my meals for the coming week (at least I try).
In order to make my routine more successful and productive, I make sure to build in "me" time.
Me time consists of reading, stitching, computer time, etc. I don't get to do a lot of reading, so I have to make time for it and have managed to do some lately. I listen to a lot of books in the car, but when you are trying to spend more time at home, that time isn't there. So I try to make time to actually pick up a book and physically read it.
(yes, this is exactly how I feel)
Lately, I've had an aversion to my emails. There are so many that I just wish didn't come . . . spam, advertisements, old interests. I need to take the time to unssubscribe to a number of them that I'm no longer interested in. I've noticed a major increase in unwanted, unsolicited advertisements - those being places that I did not sign up for, but are now showing up on a regular basis in my in-box. It makes it very time consuming to try and get to the emails I really do want to see and read. Consequently, I'm behind on my emails and get further behind everyday. So I've tried to carve time out of my day just to keep that up.
And now it's Friday!!!!
I don't know how or when that happened. There just aren't enough hours in the day.
To be honest, and fair to myself, I have a new distraction.

I'd like you to meet Rocky :)
He is a gift from my sweet niece, who felt horrible that we ended up loosing her little runt. And she wanted me to have a sweet little pup.
He is so tiny !!! As you can see, he's a one-hander, probably only about a pound. So he's been keeping me company and extremely busy. Because he's so tiny and fragile, he can't play with the big dogs yet, although he has no fear of them. He's my constant companion when he's not napping:)
Warning you in advance, he's comical and there will be tons of pictures :)
Thank you for stopping by,
Wishing you a day filled with creativity.

Edi he is just adorable. Cant' wait to watch him grow.
He will keep you busy, for sure! For the unsolicited ones, I just mark them spam and send them away. After a while, they all go to spam. What annoys me are the ones that come, there's an unsubscribe button and when you click it, it tells you that address isn't subscribed? Really, how did I get your stupid e-mail then? So I just spam them now. You can also make a filter to send them directly to spam or trash, so you never see them. At least you can on gmail. I don't know about yahoo.
What an adorable little baby. I' really looking forward to watching Rocky grow.
love your new little 'distraction' Edi! It's amazing how God allows our heart to stretch so much to never be too small to love! xoxoxox :o)
Oh hon I love Mondays too - everybody back to work, leaving me in some peace, lol!!! Do you ever get audio books? I LOVE to listen to an audiobook while I stitch.
Rocky is ADORABLE - I think he's landed on his feet now, lol, he's going to be so spoiled!!! What a sweetie!
