Who's time is it any way?

In a previous blog, I mentioned that my time wasn't my own sometimes. As a person who doesn't work full time outside of the home, you would think you would have all the time in the world to do whatever you wanted.

That doesn't work for me anymore, it used to, but I'm ok with that. Most of my time these days is spent between doing things for Mom and my guys, or spending time with my guys.

I spent Monday with Mom, we had a visit with the surgeon who is very pleased with her progress and wants to see her in about a month. She's anxious to be done with PT and OT. I don't blame her, they come four times a week between them.

My weekends have been surrendered to Honey Do and Newton, as we spend whatever time we can carve out and our bodies allow to go hiking.

Saturday - Brecksville Metro Park

Some pretty and interesting fauna.

I don't know if you can see the little bird, he found a moth and wasn't going to let go no matter how long I stood by to take my photo.

Deer Lick Cave
We spent quite a bit of time looking around and investigating this area.

Newton was still the little kid at times.
The "king" of his own little mountain :)

Sunday - Rocky River Metro Park

Rocky has a great time running and sniffing everything he comes into contact with.

There is always some interesting trees and the wildflowers are finally starting to bloom.

This tree broke and I found the layers very interesting.

We saw a couple of men fishing in the river, which is where the park got it's name. And you can see it's very high and hilly. I expect this terrain when we are in southern Ohio, but it always takes me by surprise when it's local.

Needless to say, we had a couple of very nice days for hiking together. We covered 3.5 to 4 miles each day and the temperatures were in the mid to upper 60s. We didn't see 70s until Monday.

Thanks for stopping by,

Wishing you a day filled with kindness.

Verse of the Day

I know exactly what you mean about your own time, I don't know how I would fit a job in! Your photographs are simply stunning and I did spot the bird :)

I'll bet the water was cold, though! I wouldn't have wanted to fall in. That cave looked fascinating, and so did the tree. I have this thing in places like this - I'm always looking for someplace I could shelter in an emergency. Those are two good ones! LOL

Spending your time with those you love is always a good thing. =) My hubby and I love to hike, too!

Thank you for your kind words on my latest blog post. I couldn't email you, so I hope it's okay to respond here. =)
