One Monthly Goal - the finish

And it's a finish !!!

I Love Home
designed and given freely by
in 2017.

It will no longer be available at no charge, but Jacquelynne always has something going on and does great work. I've done several of her quilts.

This one was stitched in 2017, and the blocks were all done but for one.

I finished the last block and assembled the top in 2019 as a monthly goal.

This year, I wanted it completely finished. I have been very focused the last few years on getting UFOs and PHDs out of boxes and on the bed, wall or given away.

The quilt consists of these four little houses, each block is a different setting.

I embellished them with cute little, sometimes not so little buttons. I love these striped buttons. They made great flowers.

The design was originally meant to be a wall hanging, so in retrospect, I should have enlarged the houses so they would have been more present, but overall, I'm still pleased with the way this quilt turned out.

What I learned:
I used colors and combinations outside my usual comfort zone.
I would have enlarged the main focal design.

I love that it's big enough for my bed and that just took a little extra time and fabric that I already had. I might have had to purchase the final border, but that would have been all.

Hope you all have a good, productive week.
Stay safe and healthy.

Thanks for stopping by.

Don't worry about anything;
instead, pray about everything.
Tell God what you need, thank him for all he has  done.
Then you will experience God's peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. He will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

That's much bigger than I thought! It looks great, and how wonderful to have it for your bed. If you run out of heat in your house, you can certainly pile on enough quilts to stay warm underneath!
