HQAL - December

It has been three week since the last post of Hands Quilt A-Long. This year has just flown by, not just the three weeks. I can't really say much has been going on in the hand sewing department.

I did manage to finish a quilt, hand sewing the final binding.

These were some of my favorite blocks.

And there was some hand sewing on the sashing on the back of the quilt. I should probably have been more careful of the direction I placed the stripes and I definitely have some work and practice to do on squaring up my blocks. Now we all know where my inexperiences show up :)

I'm hoping the new year will bring about a little more productivity and reporting, but we'll see what it brings.

Make sure to check out what all the other participants have been up to. They are a very creative group of ladies.

Thanks for stopping by,

Wishing you a day filled with kindness.

Verse of the day:

For your ways are in full view of the LORD, and he examines all your paths.

Proverbs 5:21 NIVUK

I love the quilt, and so what if it isn't perfectly perfect? It's still excellent. =) Those are some of my favorite blocks, too. I like the back stripes going in whatever way they happened to go.

Oh, I really like this quilt...that block in the upper left is yummy!!! Fusible or needle-turn? I never understood how anyone could do that quilt-as-you-go that needs all that hand sewing on the back - totally confuggles me!! It looks so hard, but you did a good job! Who thinks about which way the stripes are going on the back?? Of course, I'm totally spoiled when it comes to quilting...thankfully, because I am horrible at quilting on my DSM!!
