Saturday Status

My day started out busy . . . as usual :)

I didn't sit down at the sewing machine until after noon.
My one and only errand out today was getting to the post office. I wanted to do it on Friday, but my day got away from me.

I joined a new swap hosted by

Color is interpretive, so I hope my partner likes my choices of her colors. I was thrilled with this combination and as has become my habit, I purchased a half yard and made the fat quarters myself so that I can add them to my collection.
It has become a very good to build my stash, but also to incorporate colors that I don't normally gravitate toward.

So once that was done, I started sewing on my Patriotic Row.

I am very pleased with the end result.
In fact, I was so excited about getting this row done that I just kept goint . . .

I managed to get all but three rows and sashing sewn together. My goal is to have the top finished and ready for the final border which we'll receive instructions for next month.

Thanks for stopping by.

Oh, yes, that's a very nice swap! I used to do it monthly, but things have been a little tight lately, so I opted out for a while. Those are great fabrics!
