New Year's Day - New Beginnings

This is an excellent way to begin the year.

We are getting a lot of snow - more than we are used to at this time of year. Fortunately, I don't have to go anywhere for the next couple of days.

Having said that, I should be getting lots done around my house and in my sewing room :)

The holidays were wonderful.

My first set of matching family pajamas were a huge success and an order for next year has already been placed.  This makes me very happy :)

I got this sweet set of four jar toppers from mom last week while we were cleaning and reorganizing a bedroom. She started them back when she worked for a company called Creative Circle. The copy right date was 1984 !!!

It only took me an afternoon to finish stitching and prepare them for the background fabric I chose.

A running stitch helped to turn the raw edges under and prepare them to be machine appliqued.

These are the finishing fabrics I chose.

This was my goal for Monday.

Thanks for stopping by,

Wishing you kindness on your journey.

See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.

We all got new jammies, but not hand crafted! We've had a lot of snow too, it can stop now and get back to summer any time. :) Those circles are so pretty!!!!!!!

You know they liked them when they were photographed in them! What fast progress you've made on those XS circles. That's going to be so cute. Your mom will appreciate seeing them finished, too. I like your fabric choices.
