Weekend craftiness

After my week of retreat I feel energized and ready to continue with working on my crafts and getting more projects accomplished. I feel like I'm going to have a very successful end of the year. I hope you are finding yourself in the same place with your projects.

First up, menu planning.

It's not always my favorite job as a homemaker, but I feel it is necessary. If you have a plan, getting meals prepared and on the table is so much easier. I found this magnetic pad at a local discount store. I think it will be perfect as a tool for this project. So much so, in fact, I'm thinking about going and getting a couple more just to have on hand. There's 52 pages and a pen for $2.00. Can't beat that.

Next up, Quilter's Garden.

All the components for two blocks are cut out. I will probably begin sewing on Sunday or Monday. My evening will be spent stitching Bethlehem.

The mailman also brought my October swap block from the Lovely Ann in Utah.

All I have left to do is add the "blade" and "screw".

Which I did :)

It's a lovely addition to my collection.

I found this chart on DMC.  Thought you'd find it interesting too :)

That's an interesting survey. I'd have to agree with it, too. Stitching keeps me going! I can hardly wait to see your irons! I have not done one thing toward that, and Saturday, the month will be half gone! I need to get cracking on it before I find myself having to pay for December's block!
