What we did . . . Wednesday

The plan was to get Newton off to school and go to the lake to fish/walk. But we got just enough rain to thwart our plans.

Honey Do spent time on the computer - work emails, personal emails, news, game time.

I did my daily chores - the ones that only take 5 minutes. I took the dogs out - my excuse to sit and read for a bit :)

I had planned on working on my "library book" project today.

I can't tell you how many times I've renewed the book - good thing it's not in high demand. I've become such a procrastinator.

This is the first time I've ever made a Roman shade. I was told they were easy. What I'm trying to do is gret rid of the blinds that are just so old, break when you attempt to clean them and just plain disgusting, dust collectors!! Time for an update - I've lived with them for 16 years !!!

Then Honey Do came to me and said "let's go". I always have the option of staying home, but I always go. Rocky loves the ride and the walks and Honey Do loves the company.

New location today:

Hinkly Lake

It's considered the home of the buzzards and there's a big festival every spring celebrating their return.

Rocky thought he should go up against them. LOL

.

There's lots of other things . . .

The spillway into the swimming hole.

Ducks

Walkways to other parts of the park.

All kinds of flowers.

Gorgeous homes.

Once we got home, after lunch, I started sewing the Roman shade. I couldn't find all of my supplies, so I worked as long as I could. I'll either find my supplies or I'll purchase new.

After dinner, I spent the evening cutting out 2.5 inch squares for more 9-patches. It's a great way to use up scraps and leaders/enders during other projects.

Thanks for stopping by,

Wishing you a day filled with countless blessings.

Sounds like an absolutely lovely day. Thanks for sharing pictures of the park. It's beautiful. Does Honey Do ever catch any fish? If so, do you eat them? You make the right decision to go with him. You never know how many more opportunities there will be. =)
